Many relatives seek after care services when they realise a loved ones grave
is in need of cosmetic or remedial work, gravestatus.co.uk is a central portal
for land and grave owners to share information, and a place where service providers
and approved fixers can promote their services to relatives.
Advertisers on this site fall under 1 of 4 Categories
1. Grave furnishings
These service providers deal with memorial cosmetics e.g. ornaments, re-lettering,
memorial stone cleaning etc
2. Florists
Businesses that deliver floral tributes to burial grounds
3. Grave tenders
Services offered by grave tenders are typically related to controlling overgrowth
within a grave plot and may include laying flowers on graves to commemorate
special anniversary dates
4. Approved fixers
These service providers are either NAMM registered or approved by burial authorities
to undertake repair and fixing work in their grounds (see below)
Unstable memorials and poor quality repairs have become a matter of national
concern in recent years due to accidents and fatalities caused by unstable memorials.
Has a result many burial authorities have a list of approved fixers in place
and permit only those on their approved list to undertake repair and fixing
work in their grounds.
We are in full support of these approved lists and any advertiser that requests
listing under the header of Approved fixers' will be verified on our system
as approved with the specified burial authority they want linking too at the
time of placing an advertisement.
Those fixers that want to work in a ground with an approved list and do not
appear on that list, should contact the burial authority they want linking to
for approval, so they can then be verified on our system and advertise with
us.
Where do Advertisements appear?
Advertisers can attach themselves to any burial authority registered with us;
this in turn displays the service provider on every result page linked to a
plot managed by that authority.
Example
If Burial authority 'A' is responsible for the maintenance of 10 grounds and
has 60,000 records on our database, any advertiser that attached to that authority
will be advertising in 10 grounds and be linked to 60,000 records
Advertising Rates
Advertisers are charged an annual advertising fee that is calculated according
to the number of grounds a burial authority is managing and the status of each
ground Charge rates are calculated at £12 per open ground, £5 per
closed ground. All rates quoted are inclusive of Vat @ 17.5%
